Convention date, May 23, 1935. [Class 69 (ii)] The filling pump D, Fig. 1, of a hydraulic power transmitter is connected to the primary and secondary shafts B, C, by gearing including overrunning clutches G, H so that it is driven by that shaft which has the higher speed. In another form, the primary and secondary shafts each drive a pump K or L, and non- return valves M, N ensure that the pump driven at the higher speed is the effective one.
