E., 115, Woden Avenue, Wednesfield, Staffordshire. April 27, 1935, No. 12635. [Class 69 (ii)] The driving and driven members of a hydraulic coupling are electromagnetically locked together when the speed of the driving or driven shaft exceeds a predetermined value, and means may be provided for interrupting the locking at will or when changing gear. In the form shown, the circuit of the electromagnetic clutch member 6 is controlled by a switch 15 having a quick-throw spring 29 and operated by lugs 28, 30 on a rod 26 operatively connected to a governor 24.
