Operating doors electrically and magnetically.- A magnetic clutch for use with operating-gear for ships' bulkhead doors, of the kind in which the operating-coil is interconnected as a shunt to the armature of the motor so that the clutch operates when the motor has attained a given speed, is provided' with bevelled driving-keys M engaging slots N in a loose member B connected by a coupling E to the driven shaft. The clutch is adapted to operate on a slow-speed shaft with a powerful torque.
