Abstract
572,611. Unidirectional clutches. SPECIALTIES DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION. Sept. 7, 1943, No. 14651. Convention date, Sept. 7, 1942. [Class 80 (ii)] In a unidirectional clutch employing balls, rollers or like members 16 between the driving and driven members 10, 13, the balls or like members are of magnetic material and magnetic means is provided to hold them from engagement with the driven member when overrunning occurs. As shown, the driving member 10 has magnets 21, the pole faces of which are arranged adjacent the pockets 15 for the balls.
