[Class 80 (ii).] Variable speed planet gearing in a mining machine comprises differential planet gears 63, 67, driven from a pinion 62 and carried by a cage 65, the gears 63, 67, respectively engaging an internal gear 66 controlled by a band brake 72 and an internal gear 68 ; a clutch 73 is engageable with either the cage 65 or the internal gear 68 to vary the speed of the driven shaft 58.
