382,433. Hydraulic transmission of power. AKTIEBOLAGET LJUNGSTROMS ANGTURBIN, 32, Kungsgatan, Stockholm. Nov. 2, 1931, No. 30324. Convention date, May 7. [Class 69 (ii).] In a hydraulic gear of the pump-and-turbine type, the pump blades are rotatably adjustable about axes parallel to the axis of the gear during the operation of the gear ; and the set of turbine blades next to the pump are provided with rounded inlet edges. The blades 5, Figs. 1 and 4, are mounted on bolts 27 and attached to discs 28, which may be turned by portions 30 engaging recesses in a member 31 ; the latter is carried by a shaft 20, the relative position of this shaft with respect to the driving shaft 3 being adjusted by a slidable nut member 22 engaging a threaded portion 21 of the shaft 20. The turbine vanes 12 are rounded at 36. The discs 28 are let into recesses in a member 4 carried by the driving shaft, and plates 38, 39 provided.
