[Class 110 (ii)] A rotor a having three vanes d cooperates with two rotary abutments g rotating at three times the speed of the rotor. Inlet and exhaust ports k, l are provided in the side-walls of the chamber and these are covered during parts of the working strokes by arcuate flanges. The flanges m covering the inlet ports extend forwardly from the vanes and the flanges n covering the exhaust ports extend rearwardly. Relief valves p byepass the ports.
