Abstract
409,064. Pipe joints. LANE, T., and TEDSTONE, D., (trading as LANE & TEDSTONE), 35A, Edward Road, Balsall Heath, Birmingham. Dec. 6, 1932, No. 34500. [Class 99 (i).] A spigot-and-socket joint comprises a coupling nut d mounted on the shouldered spigot b<1> and screwed on to the socket e<1>, and a locknut e which screws on to the coupling nut and has an internal flange e<2> which engages a shoulder of the socket. A washer f is compressed at the mouth of the socket. Two such joints are used with an elbow c to form a universal coupling, the elbow being in two parts screwed together at c2 after the locknuts e have been mounted thereon.
