[Class 99 (i).] In a pipe joint according to the parent Specification, the face of the hard metal pipe or washer against which a flange of the lead pipe A is compressed by the rounded inner edge of a sleeve or ring D<1> has a conical projection b which fits into the flared end of the lead pipe. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to British Specifications 15507 /94, and 24834 /04, [both in Class 99], and U.S.A. Specification 1,838,180.
