493,675. Pipe couplings. AKTIEBOLAGET SEPARATOR. Dec. 22, 1937, No. 35490. Convention date, Dec. 23, 1936. [Class 99 (i)] A pipe end 1 having a coupling member 3 and a groove for a packing ring 4 formed between the pipe end and the coupling number is connected to a pipe end 2 by a coupling nut 6 which forces the pipe end 2 against the packing ring. The pipe end 2. may be flared and /or flanged. Also, the pipe end 1 may be flared into grooves in the coupling member. The coupling nut, may engage a collar having the pipe end 2 connected thereto by flaring the pipe end into grooves in the collar.
