Abstract

404,776. Letting-off warps in looms. SCHEBESTA, G., 105, Nairne Street, Burnley. Oct. 21, 1932, No. 29429. [Class 142 (ii).] The warp beam is braked by means of a rope or chain A which at one end is adjustably secured to a bracket E and at the other end is connected to a roller H by means of one or more springs F and a strap G. The roller H is rotatably mounted on an adjustable bracket K and is provided with an arm M having a roller N which bears against the warp on the beam. As the beam decreases in diameter the roller arm M moves towards the axis of the beam and turns the roller H to reduce the braking force of the chain A.
