Abstract

508,060. Warp-tensioning devices for looms. HARDY, J. Dec. 18, 1937, No. 35119. [Class 142 (ii)] One end 11 of a band brake round the end of a warp beam 2 is connected to one leg 6b of an L-shaped lever 6 loose on the beam pivot 4 the other leg 6a of the lever being weighted at 7. The two ends 11, 8 of the band brake are drawn together by a spring 9, and between the two ends is a lever 12 anchored to the loom frame at 12b. When the warp tension is excessive, e.g. at shedding, the lever 12 opens the band brake. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 337/10, 9956/10, 294,151, and 309,960, [all in Class 142 (ii)].
