The braking device of the parent Specification is controlled to maintain the tension of the warp constant by a pivoted lever 13, connected to a rod 15 which bears on the warp, and opening a valve 11 on the input passage, or a valve 12 on the exhaust passage of the cylinder 6 as the tension of the warp increases or decreases.
