Abstract

800,829. Negative let-off motions for looms. BENSON, S. F. Jan. 7, 1957 [Jan. 6, 1956], No. 525/56. Class 142(2) A warp beam is braked by a chain, belt or band C which passes round the ruffle and is slackened by movement of the back roller R towards the fell. The roller is mounted on levers L pivoted at F and maintained in its normal position by springs S. Each band C has one end adjustably connected to the lever L at A and the other end to an arm K of a bell-crank lever GK pivoted at M, the arm G being connected to the lever L by a strut T. The lever L may be two levers spaced apart with a pivoted connector A for the band C and a bolt B inside the spring S located between them. The roller R is similarly supported at the other side of the loom.
