356,683. Letting-off warps in looms. PULIDORI, P., Pontedera, Italy. March 6, 1930, No. 7415. Convention date, March 7, 1929. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. [Class 142 (ii).] In looms provided with friction let-off mechanism, one end of the braking chain T is connected to a sleeve S pivotally mounted on the lower frame and providing support for a screw-threaded spindle B, which carries at its outer end a nut M adapted to be loaded with weights or by a spring. Chain- and-sprocket or other driving connection between the warp beam and the spindle B causes the latter to be rotated as the warp is unwound, with consequent movement of the nut M towards the spindle pivot and diminution of the chain pressure on the warp beam.
