[Class 99 (i).] A pipe joint caulked with lead, hemp, rubber, &c., for pipes which lie at an angle to one another comprises a spherical socket h, and a spigot which has a spherical port on k slightly larger than the pipe but smaller than and concentric with the socket and a shoulder or flange j the end of which contacts with the socket. The flange j may have an extension i which lies in contact with the inner surface of the socket.
