Class 99 (i) [Also in Group XXIX] In a non-return valve (see Group XXIX) consisting of a valve disc 11 co-acting with a seat 10 at the end of a sleeve 9 and carried by a spindle 12 which is slidable in a perforated bridge 15, the outer end 9a of the sleeve is flared to serve as an adaptor and sealing ring for a pipe joint comprising a nipple 7, a flared pipe end, and a nut 8. lt is stated that the arrangement may be modified for coupling to a non-flared or straight pipe.
