381,047. Tightening chain saws. URAL - MASCHINEN - VERTRIEBSGES., 13, Walfischgasse, Vienna. Jan. 15, 1932, No. 1278. Convention date, Feb. 25, 1931. [Class 145 (ii.)] In chain tensioning devices for tree saws &c. of the kind wherein the axle of the chain wheel 18 is secured to a member 10 axially adjustable over the forked ends 3 of the chain guide bar, the contacting surfaces of the members 3, 10 are cylindrical. The axle is secured to the member 10 by bolts 21, 22 and is flattened at its ends 19, 20 to fit slots 4, 5 of different depths in the forked member 3. Rotation of a handle screwed on an extension 16 of the member 10 comprises a spring abutting an extension 8 of the member 3 and effects adjustment of the two parts.
