Abstract
191,458. Harris, H. B. Oct. 11, 1921. Driving-chains and the like, adjusting; wheels, facilitating detachment of. - An adjustable mounting for cycle &c. driving wheels comprises a fork F, Fig. 1, slotted at J, and an adjuster A, the screwed and slotted shank of the adjuster embracing the fork and being engaged by a nut S accommodated in a slot in the fork. The hub spindle nut may be provided with a spigot to fit into a recess R in the adjuster and a stop for the adjuster may be provided. The device may be used to accommodate two predetermined chain adjustments by suitably shaping the adjuster or providing a projection K, Fig. 5, to engage either of two adjustable stops B<1>, B<2>.
