Abstract

219,877. Burth, F. Jan. 15, 1924. Saddle supports for motor and other cycles, of the kind comprising a stem c screwing into the end of a screw-threaded tubular frame member or into a tube b fitted therein, have the stem secured in position by locking means screwing thereon. A lock-nut, preferably winged, may be employed, or, as shown, a notched washer h slidable but non-rotatable on the stem may engage with a correspondingly notched flange g upon the screw-threaded tube within the frame and be retained in engagement therewith by the locking means, which may comprise a nut in the shape of a milled cap f<1>.
