735,168. Wedge fastenings. BRAUN, M., and WESTHOFEN, F., [trading as KLEINEISENWAREN BRAUN & WESTHOFEN]. April 9, 1954 [Oct. 12, 1953], No. 10541/54. Class 44. [Also in Group XXXII] A rear view mirror 8 for cycles and the like has an arm 5 connected to the hollow handle bar 6 by means of two hollow cones 1, 2, and a split tube 3, the core of the cone 2 being screwthreaded to engage a bolt 4 so that by tightening the bolt the split tube 3 is pressed against the inner surface of the handle bar to fix the arm 5 in position. The arm as shown is integral with the cone 1 but it may be separate therefrom and ride loosely on the bolt 4. The lower end of the arm 5 may have catches engaging in recesses on one of the cones or in the end of the handle bar.
