[Class 89 (i)] Locking washers are formed with teeth 1<1>, Figs. 1 and 2, between the open ends in the case of a split washer and lying on the crests at 1', Fig. 12 in the case of a non-split sinuous washer. Teeth 1 are also formed at the ends of the split. The teeth may be chisel shaped, pointed or teeth of both forms may be provided.
