[Class 89 (i)] A lock nut combination comprises an ordinary nut a with a thin nut b attached to it by pins and slots e to permit limited relative motion. The bearing surface between the two nuts is a narrow annulus c in proximity to the thread. The annulus may be formed on either nut or may be a washer.
