Abstract

1316681 Handles LAKE & ELLIOT Ltd 27 Jan 1972 [29 Jan 1971] 3474/71 Heading B4K [Also in Division F2] A collapsible rod bar or handle, e.g. a handle for a jack, comprises a bar part 1 adapted to be inserted at one end into an end of a tube part 2, and a spring clip 4A embracing the tube part 2 and providing an inwardly projecting pin or catch 4 adapted to engage a depression 3 in the end of the bar part. The spring clip 4A embraces a major part of the circumference of the tube part so that the bar part may be inserted or withdrawn without separating the clip 4A from the tube part. A tab 28 axially locates the end face and thus also the depression 3 of the bar part.
