428,630. Abrading-tools. CRAWLEY, C., 33, Hollis Street, New Basford, Nottingham. Dec. 7, 1933, No. 34414. [Class 60] An abrasive hand dressing tool comprises an abrading-stone 13 held by a holder which consists of a tubular handle 10 with a forked end 15, the limbs of which engage the stone, and a bar 11, located within the handle and provided with a bifurcated part 12 which may grip the stone, further securing means comprising a pin 14 passing through a hole in the stone and riveted to the limbs of the part 12 also being provided. The other end of the handle 10 is engaged by a nut 16 screwed on the bar 11, whereby the handle is pressed against the stone. In a modification the bar 11 is cemented in a hole in the stone, the handle 10 has a plain end engaging the stone, and a wooden handle extension screws on the bar to tighten the handle in position.
