Abstract

261,823. Goulding, W. C. Aug. 15, 1925. Disc - tool implements; tools, mounting adjustably. -In a hand, horse, or traction hoe comprising rotary discs the relative disposition to one another of which is constant, the angle of the axis of rotation of the discs relatively to the direction of travel is adjustably fixed by means of two co-acting serrated brackets, one 5 fixed on the member 4 carrying the hoes 1 and the other 8 on the main bar 12 of the implement. The bracket 5 may be recessed to accommodate the member 4 and the serrations mav be in a central flange 6. The bracket 8 has a serrated disc base 9 which is clamped on the flange 6 by a central bolt 13, so as to allow of angular adjustment. The disc axle 2 passes through a sleeve rotatably mounted in a casting 3 provided with a flange 17 which is recessed to accommodate the bar 4. The axle may consist of a bolt threaded at one or both ends to receive nuts 15 and washers 16. According to the Provisional Specification a single rotary disc may be employed.
