Abstract

367,624. Valve amplifying circuits. RADIORÍHRENFABRIK GES., 101, Stresemannalle, Hamburg, Germany. April 20, 1931, No. 11661. Convention date, April 28, 1930. [Class 40 (v).] The grid circuit of the first valve of a thermionic amplifier, the input of which is taken from a photo-electric cell, is coupled to the anode circuit of the same or succeeding valve by means of a circuit which enhances the feedback of high frequencies relative to the low. The anode-grid capacity 13 in series with the winding 10 of the coupling transformer, is effectively in parallel with the resistance 2 associated with the photo-electric cell 1. When the resistance 2 is large the circuit 13, 10 has an appreciable shunting effect causing attenuation at high frequencies. To compensate for this, a feed-back circuit comprising condenser 8 and inductance 9 is so designed and coupled to the inductance 10 that high frequency feed-back is emphasized.
