T. and Pfeiffer, C.; c/o Colt's Patent Fire Arms Manufacturing Co., Hartford, Connecticut, U.S.A.) Jan. 13, 1931, No. 1130. Convention date, May 23, 1930. [Class 92 (ii).] Cartridge feed mechanism.-The transverse feed of the cartridge belt through the feed box 29 is rendered reversible by providing the upper surface of the breech block 16 with two cam paths 42, 44 either of which can be engaged by a pin 41 on the lever 38 which reciprocates the transverse slide 30 carrying the belt feed pawls. The cam paths are oppositely inclined and a part 48 common to both can be turned to complete either path at will. The part 48 is shown formed in a disc 47 which can be turned and fastened by a pin 52 in either adjusted position. As shown in Figs. 4 and 5, the slide 30 is also reversible being provided with oppositely arranged recesses 40 for engaging the lever 38. A cartridge control plate 36 and a stop pawl 35 are interchangeably attachable at opposite sides of the feed box.
