Abstract

384,058. Revolvers. PARKER & CO., Ltd., A. G. and HALE, A. T. C., Bisley Works, Whittall Street, Birmingham. Nov. 16, 1931, No. 31629. [Class 119.] A revolvable cylinder 3 for converting a revolver normally using centre-fire cartridges for use with rim-fire cartridges is made with the cartridge chambers 4 lying horizontally but obliquely to the vertical plane when in the firing position between the miniature barrel 2 and the striker s, as shown in Fig. 3, so that the same central striker will now strike the rim of the cartridge. The extractor 5, Fig. 4, is carried by a' stem 9 formed with a slightly helical flat 13 passing through a correspondingly shaped hole in the collar 15, so that when the head 10 of the extractor is pressed back against a spring 11, the extractor plate 5 is slightly rotated while withdrawing the cartridge, thus following the obliquity of the chamber 4 and avoiding jambing of the cartridges.
