465,557. Automatic firearms; stocks. FABRIQUE NATIONALE D'ARMES DE GUERRE SOC. ANON. Sept. 14, 1936, No. 24989. Convention date, Sept. 25, 1935. [Classes 92 (ii) and 119] The pivoted butt 6 of a machine gun or automatic firearm is locked in the closed or normal position by the removable triggerguard 18 which closes an aperture in the lower wall of the breech casing. The butt 6 shown is pivoted to the lower rear wall of the breech casing and is held in its normal position by a pin 13. In this position, a stop 16 on the butt bears against the rear face 17 of the triggerguard and thus prevents any pivoted movement of the butt even when the pin 13 is removed. When the butt is swung downwards, the stop bears against the breech casing and the rear end of the butt combines with a two-footed support for the barrel to support the gun in a horizontal position.
