561,016. Smallarms. AKTIEBOLAGET J. C: LJUNGMAN. July 20, 1942, No. 10113. Convention date, June 27, 1941. [Class 119] The rear end of the receiver 17 is closed by a vertically-removable plate 14 a' spigot 18 on which is received in a socket 20 in the casing 4. The plate is secured against removal by a vertical pin 24, the lower end of which has a cut-away flange 26, Fig. 5. The pin is rotatable through 180‹ by a finger-piece 32. The flange in the two extreme positions engages under a rib 29 in the trigger-plate 6 and so prevents withdrawal of the pin and of the closure-plate 14..In the extreme position shown, a cutaway part 30 of the pin is located above an arm 34 on the trigger and permits firing ; in the other position, the flange locks the trigger and prevents' firing. In the intermediate position, the cut-away flange is clear of the rib 29 and the pin and closure plate may be removed vertically. This permits the stripping of the mechanism by rearward withdrawal of the parts thereof. The smallarm may be automatic or semiautomatic and a part of the mechanism, e.g. the action-slide of a gas-operated gun, may be caught and held in the recoiled position by a spring detent 42 pivoted at 44 in the slidable cover 16. The detent is controlled by an eccentric lug 36 on the pin 24, and is thereby held inoperative when the pin is in the triggerrelease position shown.
