Abstract

291,747. Ceskß Zbrojovka Akciova Spolecnost v. Praze. June 7, 1927, [Convention date]. Breech actions, sliding breech-block.-Relates to automatic pistols in which the hammer is cocked by the initial part of the pull of the trigger. According to the invention, a bar 4 connected to the trigger 1 and pressed up by a spring 3 is provided with two notches a, b, and the hammer 5, which is pivoted at 6, has a finger e adapted to engage with either the notch a or the notch b. Normally, the finger e is in the notch a, and a pull on the trigger 1, which is pivoted at 2, cocks the hammer until the bar 4 is deflected sufficiently downwards by ramps f, g, one on the bar and the other fixed, to make the notch a release the finger e, when the released hammer strikes the usual firing pin. When the hammer is cocked by hand before the trigger is pulled, the finger c is made to engage the notch b. The bar 4 is locked by the engagement of a catch 7 with either of two notches c, d in the bar, when the magazine is removed and releases the catch.
