Abstract
363,756. Field magnets for dynamoelectric machines. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., Magnet House, Kingsway, London, and ORSETTICH, R., of General Electric Co., Witton, Birmingham. Oct. 16, 1930, No. 30997. [Class 35.] Each pole-core 3 of a salient-pole rotor is formed with an extension 5 fitting into a recess 2 in the solid magnet wheel 1 and is secured in position by keys 11 entering semicircular slots formed both in the faces of the recess 2 and in the extension 5. The keys &c. are positioned longitudinally by means of plates 12 secured by bolts 13 and locking washers 14 to the sides of the magnet wheel. The cores may be provided with more than one extension, and, in some instances, the extensions may be secured by more than two keys.
