608,495. Dynamo-electric machines. PANCHER, H. E. July 17, 1945, No. 18327. [Class 35] Slot conductors are of less width than the slots in the laminated core they occupy except 'at one portion, e.g. in the slot mouths where they are a tight fit against the slot walls. In the form shown in Fig. 5, the squirrel-cage conductor D has reduced portions 6, 14, the latter being a good fit in the slot mouth to prevent circumferential movement of the rotor laminµ, which then have their peripheries turned down so that they are flush with the conductors. The bars and slots may be skewed and the ends of the bars pass through slots in the end rings on to which they are bent over and connected. The parts 24, 25, Fig. 11, of the bars may be cut away so that they only rest on the bottom of the slot at its centre, the parts 29 passing through the end rings.
