Abstract
570,125. Inductor alternators. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd., and WALKER. J. H. Sept. 27, 1943, No. 15819. [Class 35] An inductor-alternator has its exciting winding B in an even number of open stator slots D, the pitch of which is twice the rotor slot pitch and the width of the stator slots at the air gap equals one rotor slot pitch, while the A.C. windings A are in slots C at the centres of the teeth F between the exciting winding slots. The wedges H closing the exciting winding slots may be united by end rings to form a cage type damping winding. Specifications 554,827 and 570,107 are referred to.
