682,124. Electromagnetic couplings. ALLMANNA SVENSKA ELEKTRISKA AKTIEBOLAGET. Dec. 4, 1950 [Dec. 7, 1949], No. 29595/50. Class 35. A slip coupling has the primary member 1 with double pole system 3 between which the secondary member 4 rotates. The poles 3 are excited by windings fed from slip-rings 9 and the secondary member 4 may be solid or laminated iron, caged and/or wound rotor so that a required tongue is produced at a given slip. The winding slots are so dimensioned and arranged relatively to each other that the variations of the tooth reluctance within the air gap are eliminated.
