Abstract
742,707. Cores for dynamo-electric machines. VAN DER HEEM N.V. Oct. 24, 1952 [Oct. 27, 1951], No. 26696/52. Class 35. Each of the main poles of a sqirrel cage shaded-pole motor is formed in such a manner that the flux density in the air gap gradually decreases in the direction of the main pole tip remote from the corresponding shaded pole. A main pole 3 in Fig. 1 has its pole tip remote from the corresponding shaded pole 4 provided with radial slots 6, 7 while in Fig. 2 the pole 3 has a tapering part 9. Closing metal plates 5 join the main poles with the adjacent shaded poles.
