625,248. Inductor alternators; alternators. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd., and POHL, R. Nov. 23, 1944, No. 23342. [Class 35] Harmonics are reduced in heterapolar inductor alternators or salient pole alternators by dividing the axial length of the stator or rotor into equal parts and peripherally displacing them relatively to each other. The rotor may be divided into two parts and each part have its slots skewed or be further divided and the parts relatively displaced. Ventilating ducts may separate the various parts and the stator. parts may have separate windings externally connected. Specifications 343,472 and 343,520 are referred to.
