Abstract
990,699. Dynamo-electric machines. J. JARRETT and J. JARRETT. Feb. 5, 1963 [Feb. 5, 1962; Nov. 28, 1962], No. 4604/63. Heading H2A. In an inductor machine or a step-by-step motor similar to that described in Specification 940,233 in having salient rotor poles formed of projecting laminations spaced by air-spaces to ensure saturation of the poles, the stator and rotor are both axially divided into two sections which are magnetically separate. Preferably the waveform is improved by staggering the projecting laminations fanwise as shown at 41a, 42a, 43a, 44a. When used as an alternator the four stator field coils may be connected in bridge for the A.C. and D.C. connections.
