Abstract

1,075,050. Electric motors. LICENTIA PATENT-VERWALTUNGS G.m.b.H. Nov. 26, 1963 [May 31, 1963], No. 48382/66. Divided out of 1,068,951. Heading H2A. The gap tube of an electric motor extends between sealing rings (70, 71) in the end plates (72, 74) of the motor and supports the end turns of the stator winding on reinforced-parts (63, 64) of the tube which project from the core (69). The stator may be either of the salient pole type or may be slotted to carry a distributed winding. The wall thickness of the tube (73) within the stator core can be small thereby improving the efficiency of the motor.
