742,345. Dynamo-electric machines. KENT, Ltd., G. Nov. 12, 1953, No. 31388/53. Class 35. In a dynamo-electric machine, a multi-pole stator comprises a number, as shown, four, of separate laminated polepieces 1 radiating from a central cylindrical rotor receiving opening and held together as a unit ready to receive formerwound coils 8 after assembly of which the stator is completed by the interleaving with the polepiece lamination ends of an outer yoke formed by part-circular laminations 9. The polepieces 1, located by ceramic spacer rods 4, are held together by a moulded plastic 5 upon which the coils are seated and which may have formed therein ribs 6 which form grooves to anchor strips 7 of electrical insulating material which separate the various coils and through which the coil connections, not shown, are taken or to which coil connection tabs, not shown, are secured.
