621,309. Machines with permanent magnets. MARTIN, J. M., and ENGLAND, R. K. Feb. 17, 1947, No. 4510. [Class 35] A miniature motor comprises a cylindrical permanent magnet clamped by a plurality of tie members between a pair of end discs or plates and surrounding an armature with a disctype commutator engaged by brushes supported on one end plate. The commutator has three segments 17 with ends projecting through slots in and clamped against a plate 18 and is engaged by strip metal brushes while the armature has three pole pieces 15 as shown within the magnet 1.
