363,223. Steam superheaters. SUPERHEATER CO., Ltd., Bush House, Aldwych, London.-(Schmidt'sche Heissdampf Ges.; '2, Rolandstrasse, Wilhelmsh÷he, Cassel, Germany.) Feb. 17, 1931, No. 5059. [Class 123 (iii).] Headers for smoke-tube superheaters comprising parallel longitudinal chambers, which may be separately formed, for saturated and superheated steam have the elements connected to the chambers so that one chamber has all the connection apertures in one of its sides and the other in two sides. The saturated steam chamber 1 of a locomotive superheater header is located behind the superheated steam chamber 2 and has its element-connection apertures in its bottom wall and in a front wall which is extended above the level of the top of the superheated steam chamber. The elements lying in adjacent horizontal rows of smoke tubes are connected to different faces of the saturated steam chamber.
