Abstract

362,503. Oil engines. ROBEY, E. B., 347, Havana Avenue, Egg Harbor City, New Jersey, U.S.A. Sept. 5, 1930, No. 26605. [Classes 7 (ii) and 7 (iii).] Two-stroke engines of the radial-cylinder type have the fuel injectors 14 supplied from a pump 16 and arranged opposite electrically - heated plugs 15. Air is supplied to the inlet ports 11 by a blower 18. The inlet manifold comprises an annular pipe 26 formed with ports 27 opposite each cylinder inlet 11 and secured to each cylinder by a split collar 28. After the engine has been in operation for a short time, the current is cut off from the plugs 15.
