Abstract
359,901. Transformers. HAZELTINE CORPORATION, 15, Exchange Place, Jersey City, New Jersey, U.S.A.-(Assignees of Wheeler, H. A. ; 78, 22nd Street, Jackson Heights, New York, U.S.A.) April 23, 1930, No. 9847/31. Convention date, June 20, 1929. Divided on 359,890. [Class 38 (ii).] A high frequency transformer comprises three helical windings L3, L1, L2 of successively decreasing diameters, L2, L3 being primaries and L1 a secondary, mounted coaxially one within the other in fixed spacial relationship to produce close magnetic coupling between L2 and L1, moderate magnetic coupling between L1 and L3, and loose coupling between L3 and L2. Further, the winding positions are so adjusted that the product of the coupling coefficients between L3, Ll and L2, L1 equals the coupling coefficient between L2, L3. The Specification states that the winding L3 can be connected so that it will act as an electromagnetic and an electrostatic shield. Winding dimensions and inductance values are given in the Specification. Specifications 273,639, 315,399, [both in Class 40 (v), Wireless signalling &c.], and 359,890 are referred to.
