Abstract
516,080. Inductances. SIEMENS & HALSKE AKT.-GES. June 20, 1938, No. 18311. Convention date, June 18, 1937. [Class 38 (ii)] A variable inductance comprises a winding on an arcuate former 2 within which moves an arcuate core 1, preferably of powdered magnetic material, to which is secured a part 3 of non-magnetic material, preferably of the same specific weight as the core material, the parts 1 and 3 forming a complete annulus. The part 3 together with its supporting element 6 may be of ceramic material. The former 2 also may be of ceramic material having the winding in the form of a metal spiral burnt on.
