477,678. Inductances. STEATITMAGNESIA AKT.-GES. June 2, 1937, No. 15365. Convention date, Feb. 17. [Class 38 (ii)] Magnetic dust cores for high - frequency inductance coils are formed to have a centre part, made of carbonyl iron powder, passing through the winding and the remaining parts, made of magnetite powder, arranged wholly or partly to close the magnetic circuit of the centre part. The cores may be reel-shaped or of the pot type and the differently composed parts may be formed into an integral whole by suitably charging the mould in which the core is made. The centre part g of the core may be formed separately from the remainder of the core and may be adjustable to vary the inductance of the coil. The part g may be screw-threaded and arranged to engage with a screw-thread in the parts e, f of the core or in the coil former of the winding a.
