Abstract

463,348. Inductances. SIEMENS & HALSKE AKT.-GES. March 16, 1936, No. 7890. Convention date, March 18, 1935. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Sept. 17, 1936.] [Class 38 (ii)] In high frequency inductance coils having spool-shaped cores of finely divided magnetic material held together by an insulating binder, the core is centrally bored to receive a movable balancing pin 18 of magnetic material which may be in screwthreaded engagement with the bore. The core is secured to a base or other support by a screw 22 passing through the support and engaging the threaded bore of the core. Rotation of the latter is prevented by roughening the under surface or by forming thereon a polygonal projection 24 engaging a corresponding hole in the support. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also other forms of core made with X-shaped flanges to facilitate leading out of connections from the inner layers of the winding, and to permit of additional windings having no mutual inductance being disposed in opposite pairs of recesses between the arms of the flanges. The central limb of the core has longitudinal projections to prevent rotation of the winding spool. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
