Abstract
358,054. High frequency transformers. HAZELTINE CORPORATION, 15, Exchange Place, Jersey City, New Jersey, U.S.A.-(Assignees of Pressley, J. H. ; 1137, West 6th Street, Marion, Indiana, U.S.A.) July 2, 1930, No. 20127. Convention date, Aug. 3, 1929. [Class 38 (ii).] A high frequency transformer has three windings L1, L2, L3 so arranged that the magnetic coupling coefficient between L1 and L2 is substantially 70 per cent, between L2 and L3 15 to 20 per cent and between L1 and L3 a relatively low percentage. In the construction shown in Fig. 3, the winding L3 is mounted in a narrow groove on a former 20 which has collars 22, 21 of different diameters to receive respectively the insulating tubes on which are wound the windings L2, L1. In a modification shown in Fig. 5 the winding L3 is mounted in a groove in a disc 31 that is mounted in the end of an insulating tube D on which the winding L2 is mounted. Two further windings L1, L4 are mounted on the tube at the end remote from the disc 31 and are insulated from the winding L2 by a thin strip I of insulating material such as celluloid. The Specification contains tables of dimensions. Specifications 273,639 and 315,399, [both in Class 40 (v), Wireless signalling &c.], are referred to.
