Abstract

731,500. Transformers and inductors. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. July 27, 1953 [July 25, 1952], No. 20777/53. Class 38 (2). A magnetic core comprises a number of similar spirally wound core sections 1 axially disposed on a non-magnetic rod 5 with insulation 9 between the sections. Each section may be slotted to accommodate an insulating spacer 11 one end of which locates in a slot 14 in the rod 5. The ends of the rod 5 abut the yoke pieces 8 of the core and the insulating spacer 11 is retained by a non-magnetic band 12.
